My name is Vishnu Unnikrishnan and I am a technology professional by day and a technology enthusiast by night. Outside of technology I love travelling and enjoy a wide variety of pursuits including cricket, gardening and learning in general.
Profession
I am an engineer by training and have worked across a wide variety of industries, including broadcast television, renewable energy and startups, control panel design and finally in cybersecurity. I have experience in IoT, Data Analytics, and SIEM. My interests lie in cyber security and the IoT space because these fields are quickly changing and also a significant concern.
Entrepreneurship
Security is a serious concern, and the number of threats increase every day. The type, complexity and stye of these threats also changes. This means that you have to be studying everyday to keep on top of it. Most people don’t have the time or the experience to do that.
As a cybersecurity specialist working in the enterprise world its my job to stay updated and clear about this. I have built a security education product, which provides a short 15 minute video followed by a short quiz each week that updates the subscriber about a security topic. I also provide an alternating fortnightly video and report about the latest security threats and what you need to do to mitigate that risk.

Personal
Finally about me personally. I live in Sydney Australia, and I enjoy travelling and cricket. By the end of this year, I plan to have visited every state and territory in Australia. I also enjoying travelling overseas and have visited a wide variety of countries. However in the short term I do not plan to have any travel blogs because I don’t enjoy writing and prefer to experience the atmosphere of my trips.
